Members of class 69 assembled for the inauguration of the completed Study Shed Project. A great feast
was assured with a centre piece of a lechon donated by Elsie Diblich now in America.
After prayers the attending alumni enjoyed a merry meeting, plenty of talking as members
happily caught up with each other.
A memorable moment took place as a long distance mobile call was received from Elsie Diblich in America
as we enjoyed the lechon she had so generously donated towards the feast. Attendees took the opportunity to say "Hello"
to her and although absent in body she was with us in mind.
The afternoon passed quickly with all the reminiscing taking place.
Seventy or eighty of the current students were practising for a future show to take place on the 10th January
2009. All Class69 members are invited if you can make it. A group of the dance team arrived at the
study shed to thank Class 69 for the generous donation and they were reminded that in thirty years from now it will be their
turn to meet and donate to RTNHS.
After 2-3 hours members dispersed having thoroughly enjoyed the joyous celebration. Several moved
on to Casa Mia, home of Agueda del Castillo (Duley), where a further 1-2 hours was spent - members happy and relaxed
to be in the company of each other and even planning future events. A suggestion has been made for a class of 69 meeting
at Buenos Aries Mountain Resort in Dec 2009 so watch this space.
Once again many thanks to those of you who so generously donated to make this project successful.
Proving that the Class 69 was undoubtably a class of achievers and not just talkers.
The message to current students is that things are achieved by action not just words. Best wishes
to all Class 69 alumni, may we carry on achieving success in your lives.
